Zhenchen Liu is a visual artist, graduated at the National Superior school of Arts in Nice and the Fresnoy – National Studio of Contemporary Arts in Tourcoing, France. His videos have been widely screened on both film and visual arts platforms including Locarno Film Festival, Oberhausen Film Festival, Festival de Clermont-Ferrand, IDFA in Amsterdam, Cinéma du réel, Les Rencontres d’Arles Photo Festival, “Nuit Blanche” in Paris, Transmediale in Berlin, Ars Electronica in Linz… Last years, he has received a long list of awards and honors. Besides various private collections, his work is included in the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou. 

1976年出生。 2000年毕业于上海大学美术学院，同年赴法留学。2005年在法国南部的尼斯国立当代艺术学院毕业获得艺术硕士学位。之后在法国北部的 Le Fresnoy 国立当代艺术工作室研修创作两年。其作品曾在巴黎大皇宫，小皇宫，东京宫，蓬皮杜，马德里索菲亚艺术博物馆，波恩美术馆，马赛当代艺术博物馆，纽约自然博物馆等地展出，短片曾经入围瑞士珞珈诺电影节，阿姆斯特丹纪录片电影节，巴西圣保罗国际电影节，墨尔本国际电影节，德国奥伯豪森短片展映等数百个国际电影节，并数十次在世界各艺术平台和电影节上获奖。作品被被蓬皮杜艺术中心等国家机构永久收藏。现生活工作于巴黎，汉堡和上海。
